I had a pair of boots once. Gave 'em to a man a few years older than me. They were size twelve, I wear thirteen. $399 bucks. He tore the laces off, I realized it the next time I saw him with his slow walk down my street. Why would anybody tear the laces off of $400 boots? He needed a belt, too. . . Synopsis: Homeless people need to be given and helped with more than most people understand. Just a little bit of help doesn't always go as far as you think.
